A simple Canadian girl, with curiousity and a camera. That is my story.... so far.
I love cinnamon.
I attempt to capture the plethora of everday, ordinary, simple, eclectic beauty which surrounds and envelops us and is part of our daily experience. . .
I like to shoot "on location" which basically means, I do not have a studio.
I do have a degree in Creative Photography from Humber College, and I am still proud that the portfolio I used to get into this course included shots I took with my cheap 110 and high school darkroom experiments.
I did portraits and weddings, before the digital cameras.. much more stressful! I moved away from this type of photography, but recently have considered revisiting it, as I much admire the "journalistic" approach to weddings and non-posed/non-traditional portraits.
My first photography love is nature and landscapes. Beauty which is not forced or contrived but rather just is. The older I get, the more visible this beauty seems to be, as I find it in many unexpected places.
As contrived as it sounds, for me, photography is a journey without a destination. I learn from every shoot I do, and every blog I read. The quest for knowledge is a life long experience.
I encourage and welcome your comments and suggestions... feedback is the best way to grow.
